David's favorite cookies!

David loves these cookies! I make them mostly at Christmas time, but I also make them when he is really craving them. They are soft, spicy and oh-so-delicious!

Big Ginger Cookies

3/4 cup butter, softened
1 cup sugar
1 egg
1/4 cup molasses
2 1/4 cups flour
2 teaspoons ginger
1 teaspoon baking soda
3/4 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon cloves
1/4 teaspoon salt
milk
sugar

In a mixing bowl cream butter, 1 cup sugar, egg and molasses. Add dry ingredients. Mix well. Shape into 1 1/2-inch balls. Roll in milk and then in sugar. Bake on ungreased cookie sheet in a 350 degree oven about 10 to 12 minutes, or until lightly browned and still puffed. Do not over bake. Let stand on the cookie sheet for 2 minutes before moving to wire rack. Makes 24 cookies.

These cookies sounded so good I had to try them immediately. They turned out really really good! My little boy loved them too, and I wasn't sure he would just because they are a different taste then he is used to. Thanks for the great recipe!
