Best Ever Bacon Burgers

The other day I felt like a summer meal to get us through this terribly cold wisconsin weather. My friend told me about this yummy hamburger recipe. It is on the back of the package for Hormel Premium Real Crumbled Bacon. You find it in the salad aisle by the croutons. If you buy the bacon you will have the recipe but here it is so you get an idea of how yummy it is.
1 pound lean ground beef
2 tablespoons finely chopped onion ( I left this part out for Andy's sake)
1/4 cup dry bread crumbs
1 egg slighty beaten
half of a 4.3 ounce package of crumbled Bacon
4 hamburger buns or kaiser rolls
additional toppings: cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, pickles, onion, etc.
In large bowl, combine ground beef, onion, bread crumbs, egg and bacon. Shape the meat mixture into four 3/4 inch thick patties. Grill patties on... yada yada yada you all know how to cook a hamburger. To serve, toast the buns on the grill. We grilled them inside on our electric griddle but I can't wait to try it on our outdoor grill when all the snow melts!

That is sooo Andy!! He probably doubles the amount of bacon in his burger.

These were really bacon-y! They were really good and moist, but I might put less bacon in them next time.
