This isn't a recipe, but I had so much fun planting, harvesting and eating these beans that I wanted to share it. The wonderfully colored purple beans turn green when cooked. Everyone enjoyed this heirloom variety of green beans.
Jon usually hates fresh green beans, but he liked these ones! I'm sorry I didn't take a picture of ours, but they were really dark purple! We got them from our farmer's market.
I am envious Emily and I will have to get a garden going next year.
ReplyDeleteI have never tried these, but they look interesting. Thanks for posting - I'll have to look for them!
ReplyDeleteWe had some purple dragon tongue beans from the farmer's market and they were delicious.
